The more I see Negroamaro the more I want in. It's good to see another new Aussie label on the shelves, the fruit for this one is sourced from the Barossa.
It's the blue fruits I love when swirling the glass. They slingshot forward with blackberries hot in their tail. This is a wine calling for food to sit by its side given its firm mouth presence. Earthy with aniseed and dried herbs, you get a sense it's a bit of a worker with the sleeves rolled up ready to do the hard yards. Drying to finish, a doner kebab in one hand and this in the other - bliss.
Drink to five years.
