An Alsace style, this was the first Riesling harvested in the Clare Valley's 2021 vintage. Medium dry, that lick of residual sugar shoulders its way to the fore.
Quite a rounded and polished wine, this is not one of those clean, crisp Rieslings from the Clare that shows minerally drive and bright citrus fruit. Oh no, there is some body here that defies the 8% alcohol. Scents of bath salts and white flowers lead to a touch of green apple skin and honeysuckle that leaves a moreish feel and brings the mouth the water. With a lemon twist on close, this is screaming for a spicy meal. Superb!
