There's plenty of ever-reliable Coonawarra reds pitched around the $20-25 mark. Here's one that comfortable resides in that mould year after year.
Blackberry and black currants, choc mint, dried sage and dried Mediterranean herbs. It all smells good and fruit is wedges itself nicely in the mouth. A touch of fruit sweetness is balanced by rightish acid with a hit of oak which protrudes from the fruit taking some of the gloss away. In all, solid drinking.
Drink now to eight years.
