What the difference a year makes. After checking out the 2015, this is almost another wine entirely.
Brighter, juicier and prettier, you could almost suggest there is more femininity to this 2016 edition.
Blueberries, mulberries, whiffs of violets and dried purple flowers. The fruit doesn't have as much width and breadth of the 2015. Dried herb and integrated oak sit in the background. The hum of spice gets louder finishing hard with a citrusy like acidity. The mouth is left puckering after all moisture is torn away by a dry finish.
Drink now to six years.
