First Ridge Enzo 2015

A blend of Sangiovese, Shiraz and Merlot. Perched 600m above on the Central Ranges, this curious blend works okay.

Blackcurrant, blueberries, dark cherry, and pencil shavings. It smells good but is patchy to taste. Acid pokes out above the fruit which doesn't seem to want to swim deep. A spicy finish skips up and lingers. Pizza and pasta dishes will help out but I'm not in a rush to go back.

Drink now to three years.
