Dodgy Bros Juxtaposed Old Vine Grenache 2019

Oh Grenache. You steal my heart every freakin' time. Talk about excellent buying too - considering the age of the vines and the quality of the fruit in your hands here, $29 for this makes it one of the best Grenache buys from McLaren Vale. Back the truck up!
This just feels glamourous. Silky, dancy, it's that speeding across flat water on a speed boat feeling - you're just gliding.

A blend of the Smart Vineyard and the Wait Vineyard in Blewitt Springs with both hitting significant milestones in coming years, 100 and 80 years each respectively. Winemaker Wes Pearson was quite chuffed to get his on this fruit as it is chased by many top producers.

A belter of a wine last vintage (and before that in 2016 with my absolute favourite Mr T label), this 2019 release nestles into that classy company with absolute ease. This label continues the eye catching urban street art appeal and was completed by Verb Syndicate Creative Studio in Wollongong, NSW.

Scents of cedar and sandalwood hook you in but move on with time in the glass. Dried purple flowers, sautéed mushrooms coming running too. Stunningly medium bodied, red cherries and blackberries present elegantly with a nuttiness that sits up tall at the death. Super fine spices swoon and are the perfect farewell gesture. I said dancy earlier. Yeah, that. Just divine.

Drink to five years but it won't last that long in these parts.
