A journey through the textural pleasure zone. Nicknamed the Ginger Sherbet Skinsy Thing pretty much sums up where things are at. A 60/40 blend, the Riesling was fermented on skins with Fiano.
Layered with pear, green apple, white nectarine and a touch of almond nuttiness, the Fiano component reaches out and has the microphone with the audience captivated by every word. Ginger spices kick in late with touches of white pepper too. Texture is feathered through the mouth with a precision that calls for slow sips and deep conversation. An expression of interest on many levels, well played Mr Varney.
