A Riesling that is quite muted and subdued compared to its Watervale sibling. Clean and fresh but I'm looking for that lift and vibe that just isn't there.
From two Eden Valley sites, one planted in 1977 and the other 2001.
Apple driven with a more rounded feel through the mouth, it doesn't have that youthful exuberance I adore about new release Riesling. A little stonefruit peers through as does some spice, but given the choice, give me the Watervale.
Drink now.
