The sibling to the Optume Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, this is elegant, delicate and lacy. Silky and wonderfully balanced, it's an excellent Yarra Valley Shiraz.
Vibrant dark cherries and milk chocolate muse with soft plums. Mulberries and blueberries find some air and rise up. A flirtatious creaminess weaves itself through the core of the wine as some char tacks itself onto the back. Superfine spices are brushed through the mouth lingering on an incredibly persistent finish. I keep coming back to its elegance. It was at its best on day three of tasting, and so it should be - this is a wine for later and not now. Give it time, let it breathe and embrace its glory. A brilliant example of cool climate Shiraz.
