I've written a couple of articles lately on the changing face of Coonawarra. Here's yet another example of how winemaking styles in the region have changed.
A fruit forward number, it's a juicy yet dense and generous wine chasing the under 20 price point. An 85/15 blend with the Malbec sourced from the Barossa Valley, it just tastes cool with berry fruit framed with a minty edge. There's so much satisfaction within - second use oak helps the fruit do the dancing. I'd happily have a glass. Give me some lamb shanks and I'll have a second. Me likey.
Drink now to five years.
