Quite a taut example of Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay.
The fruit needs to take a chill pill and just relax. Like a coiled spring, underripe green apple feels linger after yellow stonefruit and whipped butter get the early jump. Jersey caramel wants to emerge but seems held back. Grapefruitish acidity has the final say. There are bits here I'm a fan of and bits not so much. Not so sure I'd finish a glass but food alongside may change that.
Drink 2019 to six years.
