Ripping Chardonnay from Gartelmann. There's so much to adore. Coming off 19-year-old vines sitting 930 above.
It's been hard keeping up with the label changes at Gartelmann in recent years. Let's hope they settle on this one - the best of all those I've seen. It's significantly better than that ghastly G, but that's another story...
Track this Chardy down. Scintillating fruit bristles with a flinty edge. Grapefruit and white nectarine are met with nougat, figs and touches of lemon. Pristine in appearance, it plants itself on the mid-palate refusing to leave. Licks of vanilla and caramel to close ensuring a gorgeous finish. Yum!
Drink now to ten years.
