Often used to blend away, the quality of the fruit from this vineyard was too good not to let it shine in its own right. So we welcome the Kidman Shiraz to the Parker stable and what a wine it is!
The Terra Rossa Shiraz 2019 is the best release of the wine I have seen in forever and this Kidman is another step up from it.
It's dark and brooding in the glass. So inviting, pepper and fine spices scatter themselves about from the outset. Scents of vanilla essence too. Over a couple of days tasting, it nestled into a neat groove and slowly put out its hands asking for a dance. Sliding through the mouth, some earthy feels and a slight hand of raspberry step forward. Those fine spices tick away and build to a long and persistent finish. This is a real treat. I could be talked into another point. Oh, just have it. An excellent wine!
