A little more concentrated and focused than its Red Hill Block sibling, this Merricks Block has stepped it up a notch.
Some sour cherry feels, dashes of strawberry and flashes of plum are ribbed with fine spices. There is an attractive earthiness along with cedar and tannins show a firmish side. Savoury characters pull at the heartstrings and keep drawing me back. A damn fine Pinot.
