A great Riesling from Ridgemill Estate. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were sipping on a minerally driven example from the Polish Hill River subregion not one from the Granite Belt.
Previous vintages of this have shown to be fruit-driven with this 2019 release proving the exception. Clean and fresh, Jasmine flowers and lemon sherbet skip out early. With restrained lemons and limes, it goes about its work with a steely and a wet stone minerally pulse beating throughout. Fine talc feels, bath salt aromas step into the fray with some air.
So refreshing. You don't need an excuse to have a glass of this. Fresh seafood would only heighten the experience. A dozen oysters for me and a large pour please.
Drink to three years.
