Luke Tocaciu is a smart winemaker. His wines mirror his personality: quiet, considerate with a dose of charm. This Shiraz is a beauty and drinking beautifully now and will still reward the patient despite already being a six-year-old release.
This saw time in new American and second use French oak for 24 months. Scents of coconut husk and cedar oak get your attention early. Milk chocolate and woodsy fine spices frame the plentiful mulberry and blueberry fruit which wear the cape and take the hero status. Wonderfully approachable but with an air of complexity, this is a very clever wine.
