As with those previously reviewed in this Corryton Burge range, the wines and the winemaking are consistent - well played there. This Barossa Shiraz ticks the boxes.
There is some heft here. Nothing to clout you over the head but enough to nudge you and subtly let you know that there is a new sheriff in town.
Handfuls of generous plums flood the mouth with juicy blackberries riding on their coattails. It's warm in my Brisbane but not my tasting suite (sounds fancy, I know), but the warmth this carries stands out a little too. It's not over the top but it's enough to be seen. Some toasty oak cuts in on close with the synonymous Barossa baking spices making their mark late. Stick this in a glass beside a roast beef and you'll be smitten.
