Tin Shed Melting Pot Shiraz 2021

This is my second look at this Tin Shed Melting Pot Shiraz 2021 in a couple of months. I scored it 88 in my previous review and I admire owner Claire Doughty for standing by her product and proudly proclaiming that the pinchy acidity I picked up last time was not representative of where it should be. Bottle variation is a real thing. Was I the victim of such?

Well, from my first inspection, it was clear that this was a different wine. That shrill of acidity that clung relentlessly to the previous sample for three days was no where to be seen.

This is bright and juicy and clearly a representation of what it should be - bravo!

Juicy raspberries and choc-dipped red cherries bring excitement and energy. Some earthiness sneaks in along with a pan juice like meaty presence. There is a faint whisper of cherry liqueur sitting in the background along with Christmas cake spices and fine barbecue spices that add a zippy tease to entice another sip. With notable balance and length, this is ticking the boxes. What happened last time will only be a mystery.

I've previously re-reviewed wines and they have shown to be much the same. Big ups to Claire for backing her product and thrusting it in my direction once more.
