A Barossa Shiraz from Tin Shed Wines that has good bones.
Good density, it shows some Christmas cake fruit and plentiful dark plums. A little smokiness and bacon hock add a pleasing savoury dimension but a whirlwind of pinchy acidity makes me wonder how much acid was added. It detracts leaving an overbearing lemony tang that was still evident on day two of tasting. Perhaps some more time will help?
Drink to five years.
