Tim Smith's Bugalugs Red is all Captain Charisma with its easygoing nature. Now the red has a permanent partner with the Blanc seeing its second release. This is all tapas, pintxos and cheese boards. Personally, cheese Twisties won't go amiss. Above all, big love for the textural vibes here. Kick back as the sun falls from the sky and let the worries of the world pass you by. Bliss.
Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Viognier (33/27/20/20) all play their part with the latter offering some apricot and fine ginger delight. White fleshed stonefruit, yellow peach skin, even some custard apple raise their hands to be part of the action. With tonic feels, it's a wine with a terrific presence (only 11.5% alc) as it shifts to a long and drawn out finish. It's the type of wine you just want to settle in with - but don't serve it too cold. Gimme another glass please, and pass the Twisties if you don't mind.
Drink now.
