A bit like Aldi, Yelland & Papps do things a bit different. Good different. A Cinsault Mourvedre Rosé? I've never heard of such a thing. Nothing is out of the question for these boundary pushers and I'm pleased I've had an intro. This is fabulous!
Be sure not to drink this Rosé too cold otherwise its splendour will be masked.
Mandarin juice like in appearance with vibrant orange hues, tangerine and orange peel scents lift off with citrus flower and watermelon husk. Tip it in and it is silky smooth. A fine rub of tonic-like texture adds interest that runs long and is seemingly endless. Red berries, an ever so faint creaminess and a superfine long spicy drive continue to entice. It's a beautiful and considered drink - what else would you expect from Yelland & Papps?
