The Shiraz component was handled the same as the Mencia and the colour is very consistent to years gone by too. Red berries and currants, watermelon husk, there is a delightful red apple crunch. A flash of rhubarb is tucked in behind, but the Shiraz brings with it some blueberries, dried herbs and waves of soft spices. Long with well-handled acidity, this is a very tidy drink. Backyard barbecues or an aperitif with a difference, this will please those who enjoy laughing out loud in the sunshine.
