Dry grown and seeing French oak for four years and another two years in bottle prior to release, this Wykari of Clare Single Vineyard Cabernet is a very tidy drink that represents great value.
Blackberries still show flickers of primary fruit but it's the licorice, fennel, fruit cake, leather and cigar box that have my attention here. Softly spoken with a touch of mint and an impressive length, silky tannins draw a long bow and deliver a fabulous moreishness. It's nicely done.
