This is a beauty. Chardonnay right in the zone, this Wynns Black Label Messenger is well worth a look.
It's a wine that glides along with absolute ease delivering a devilishly moreish weight that seemingly gives the impression that the fruit is floating on a cloud. Vanilla cream, cashews, white fleshed nectarines and yellow fleshed peaches are the main players with some cedar adding delight. Time on lees has added a fine Mediterranean tonic like texture - winning! Gingerbread spices hum on a persistent and elongated finish with lively ruby grapefruit acidity. Drinking well now, I suggest it will peak at four or five years. All up, it's a big yes from me.
