This Camino Wine Co Tempranillo comes from twenty-year-old vines in the Barossa. A good barbecue wine, it shows some pleasing varietal traits.
It sees seasoned American and French oak for nine months prior to bottling.
Aromas of red plums, cola and sarsaparilla open the account with some red apple skin and a good dark fruit presence chiming in. A touch of charcuterie board meatiness raises its head but the fruit stands tall. Drying spices grip the finish and drive long. Good stuff.
Drink to five years.
