This Wynns Coonawarra Michael Shiraz took its time to get moving, but that's the beauty of tasting over a few days. Give it a sleep or a good decant and a delicious, generous wine awaits.
It's dense and moody with plenty of dark berries and fruit consuming the palate. Cedar, cloves and licorice are ably supported by char with a concentrated rush of blackberries nestling in. The oak has been massaged into the frame quite well - 25% new French oak for 12 months. Drying with buxom tannins, hold and you'll be rewarded handsomely.
