Flametree Margaret River Chardonnay 2016

A leaner style of Chardonnay with an element of class ticking the boxes.

Despite spending  9 months in French oak, the fruit is forward here.

Coverage across the mouth is dainty and consistent led by lemon juice and citrus goodness. Nougat with a dash of cream and fleshy stone fruit ride the wave. Add a squeeze of grapefruit and things kick along quite nicely. Oak is in check - this is where 'new age Chardonnay' fans will find a comfortable home without spending a bomb.

Great drinking.

Drink now to five years.
