There's lots to like about the 2014 icon releases from d'Arenberg. Cabernet Sauvignon on song here - a super drop.
Dark in the glass, this is thick set with rounded shoulders. Muscular and busting out yet tempered by a charming personality. Dark and black fruits are king backed by sapping tannins. Smooth in the mouth, delivery is generous and moreish. Savoury characters shine in the end and urge another sip.
A few more years in the cellar will be of benefit but you'd be comforted knowing this will live beyond ten years.
