The Hunter Valley's first Barbera planted back in 1998.
A wet 2015 vintage has had its way here. Aromas tick the boxes but in the mouth its thin through the mid-palate. Red fruits, dark cherry, even some hints of lilly pilly. Acid crunch is followed by a spice to finish. Spag bol, meat balls or lasagna will do the job here.
Drink now to five years.
