More of a Grenache/Shiraz blend (72/25), this is a delicious release with a drop of Mourvedre (3%) for good measure.
Dark jubey fruit, the fruit sweetness is evident. Red flowers, blackberries, cola, tar and raspberries all come forward with some air under its wings. There's some of that d'Arenberg rustic charm evident as well as some minerally feels. The mouth is coated generously and that sweetness, certainly not detracting, welcomes another sip. Fine tannins, almost chalky like, add pucker and linger long. Yes!
A tasting over a few days proved that time will only reap reward here.
Drink from 2019 to 2029 easy.
