The one that got away... This review has been sitting around patiently awaiting release. The CBD label was one of a few new releases to come from Coonawarra's Brand & Sons. Some very impressive wines are in the range too which are well worth checking out.
This Shiraz opens with scents of eucalypt, church pews (of all things), cedar and clove. Soft fruit purrs throughout but is drying. Perhaps sapping is a better word? Black berries and black fruit slide along with touches of tomato paste. Baking spices and five spice add to a pleasant finish. A wine that will be long lived.
