Geddes Cellar Release Petit Verdot Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Rugby's version of a rolling maul in a glass. A couple of big lads combining and causing all sorts of demolition and pleasure at once. Lip smacking good gear.

A 70/30 blend, buckets of generous fruit flow effortlessly. You get a sense it's only getting into its work now at seven years young, and it's a wine sure to live comfortably beyond another decade.

Black fruits and black berries glide through the mouth with ease supported by cassis and cedar. Some milk chocolate like oak early but it meshes neatly with the fruit given some air. Round edges and voluptuous feels with a dusting of dark cocoa and fine, soothing tannins to close. An immensely satisfying wine.

Drink to ten years+
