An old school Barossa Shiraz from Langmeil.
Caramel and cedar oak, it's big and boistrous. Seeing time in American and French oak, black fruits and dense plums reign supreme. Dark chocolate, smoked bacon and licorice add savoury appeal. It's a mouthfilling but smooth with density for days. Fine pepper arrives on close as brown spices linger long along with a big oak presence. Cold nights and steak I say. Good stuff and available at independent retail stores.
Drink to eight years.
