Barringwood Riesling 2021

 

Very tidy, this is Barringwood's first Riesling release off their Evandale site in northern Tasmania. Sit on the beach and soak up the sea spray with this in your glass - it works a treat. I speak from experience...

A great start with young vines, this may well be a wine to watch in the years to come. 

Precisely the refreshment you need after a long day, deep dive into pine lime splice, tart green apple and a sizzling minerally drive. Green apple skin gains momentum with time in the glass. Cleansing acidity is pitched in the zone and suggests aging is well within reach. I'm quite happy to soak up the last of the day by the ocean with a glass for now though.
