Syrah sourced from New Zealand's Hawke's Bay region.
Sauteed mushrooms, char and steak over the coals, this Syrah is firm and uptight. The dark cherry fruit sits very much in the background of the savoury drive. Black peppery spices scatter themselves through the mouth with a lemony tang on close.
There's not a great deal that gets my juices flowing here. It's hard to recommend.
