Indigo Vineyard Secret Village Shiraz 2017

One of those sip slow and embrace wines, I was infatuated with the depth on offer. Decant for now or let it reward with some cellaring, this is an impressive Beechworth Shiraz.

Made with 10% whole bunches and seeing 30% new French oak for 16 months, this is cold night bliss sorted. Opening with black fruits, flashes of licorice and cola chime in too. Veneers of interest peel off in the form of beef stock, char and dried herbs. Soft spices muse and are long and moreish - they just linger and tease. The depth on offer is tremendous. Tasted over a couple of days, it softened beautifully pointing to its ability to age. All up, it's a fantastic wine.
