Dry and seemingly extracted, this Pinot seems much older than what it is. Savoury driven, the brown hues suggest it has more age on it than a 2019 release.
Matured in bottle for 30 months, orange peel and orange liqueur skip out. It's twiggy and savoury with some plum fruit playing very much a secondary role. Dried leaves and a mouth sapping dryness partner the earthiness. Spicy to close, for me this is a wine that asks more questions than gives answers - even after a few days of tasting.
