What a tidy wine this is! It's not going to break the bank and it's not going to bring home a swag of trophies, but it will deliver pleasure to those who seek a solid and reliable example of Chardonnay.
From Padthaway, just north of Coonawarra, attractive white field flowers hook you in. Peaches and pears roll about with ease being chased down by lemon zest and lemon juice. Some weight and a flicker of oak waltz in with some almonds leading to a long and lingering textural finish. You wouldn't be unhappy with this in your glass. Nicely done.
