As we near peak fire pit and slow-cooked meal season, keep this Mercer Wines Malbec handy - it's a beauty. And then there is that colour! Coupled with eye-catching shelf appeal, it's a great drink.
Juicy fruits bust out with blackcurrants leading the charge. Glossy blackberry pie and some mintiness chime in too. Pan juices, cola, plus the little shimmer of dried Mediterranean herbs all add interest. There is some warmth but in an embracing cuddle way rather than being a hot mess. That all washes over and is certainly not evident on the second day of tasting. Tingling spices have the last word. Good gear this and one I'd happily recommend.
