75% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation and saw a mix of new and seasons French oak. The new oak certainly has an impact adding a creaminess and a touch of vanilla. It's a wine that wants to get in deep but skims the surface for now and a few days of tasting highlighted this. No doubt, bottle age will be its friend. Lemon slice, pie apple, pastry, and arrowroot biscuits add detail, but there is some wriggle room for the concentration of peach and nectarine that sits mid-palate. Well balanced acidity adds some energy on close, but I reckon we'll see the best of it in a few years time.
