The best of the Crittenden Estate Pinots, the step up from the Kangerong and Peninsula is clear.
Focused and precise, dark cherries and some plummy fruit get you in the mood. Freeze-dried strawberries, orange peel, earthy and twiggy things, it builds credible savoury momentum. Made with 15% whole bunches, it sees a mix of new and seasoned French oak for eleven months. Fine and polished with a neat hum of delicate spices, the superfine tannins leave a little rub in their wake. Yeah, it's a fabulous Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir.
Drink to eight years.
