There's a subtlety yet precision about the drive of this Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay from Crittenden Estate. The top of the range, this is just brilliant.
That scent of oyster shell has me hooked from the get-go. White fleshed stonefruit, vanilla cream, brioche and nougat, the layers of detail build wonderful momentum. The mid-palate is concentrated with dehydrated peach and roasted cashews with well-handled acidity bringing the mouth to water. Quality always rises up and this will just glisten if it finds its way to your glass. Bravo.
