Crittenden Estate Kangerong Pinot Noir 2021

You had me at the first sip. What a beauty! A Pinot for lovers of savoury goodness.

A wine that strides out with confidence, it's plentiful with highlights of briar, twiggy things and earthy notes. An attractive dried red petal perfume, dried strawberry and orange peel build more interest. What drags closer is the concentration and depth. The acid is energetic for now but it will aid some aging. Red plums, sour cherries and cranberries plus a sneaky flash of meatiness and pan juices continue to build layers as it breathes more air leaving a trail of vanilla spice in its wake. It's a wine that is easy to get excited about. Pour me another glass, please.
