Cirillo Estate The Vincent Grenache 2017

Can you drink better value given the history of the vines which contribute to this wine? Produced from two 100+ year old vineyards and housed in 90-year-old French Foudre barrels for 12 months - and the asking price is just 22 bucks? Woah!

Such an easy drinking red. This is some tasty gear to wrap your lips around. A wine possessing great versatility too - whack it in the fridge in the warmer months to knock the edge off it to open another world of possibilities.

After chatting to its maker Marco Cirillo, you can understand where this wine comes from. His prints are clearly through its DNA. Humble, easy going, laid back but a thinker - a carbon copy dripping red.

Fine spices are dusted through the soft and juicy red fruit and berries present. Some sweetness. Some meatiness. Some red apple crunch. Some energetic acidity. Pretty damn good going all up. Go forth and fill your glass to the point of happiness.

Drink now to five years.
