Soumah Upper Ngumby Pinot Noir 2017

As soon as this hits my mouth I'm tasting and needing duck pancakes. Not just because it's Pinot, attractive savoury herbs hook me in.

Peppery spices linger and wrap around dancy red fruits and berries. Typical earthy characters run an undercurrent of charm. A touch of char latches on with time in the glass. Some tension is evident too, wooing me back again an again. Clever wine, like its vineyard sibling the Upper Ngumby Chardonnay.

Drink now to eight years.
