Fruit forward and fleshy Touriga. Go here to stretch your curiosity that bit further and be rewarded in spades.
Coming off a site in the Hunter Valley's north-east, be greeted by a pretty cerise hue in the glass. Enticing aromas of cola, mulberries and violets hook you in. But it's in the mouth where it gets to work with its sleek softness. It creeps up on you and just hangs. There's a firm grip but it relaxes with time in the glass. Older oak was used to help the fruit sing, and it does, coating the mouth beautifully. A flick of spice on close is the perfect parting gift. A wine you could chill down a touch to make it more versatile or just tear in when steak night is calling.
