Andrew Thomas certainly has a way of finding unique fruit parcels from around the Hunter Valley. This is the second release of The Cote which sits on a steep slope around 190m above. For those familiar with the region, it's near the Audrey Wilkinson winery.
Elegant and sexy aromas hook you in from the outset. A little muscular, dark plums partner black and blue berries with a dusting of dried herbs. There's almost a 'come to me' type presence about it, and I'll admit, it's hard to resist the call. Powdery tannins swoop late and cap off a thrilling wine.
