Thomas Wines DJV Shiraz 2018

Pleasure zone material. There's an alluring prettiness about each DJV release.

I had the privilege of having a sneak peek at these Thomas Wines 2018 red releases before they hit the shelves. They're a very smart bunch too.

Here, Shiraz is co-fermented with verjuice (4%) - the verjuice is used to balance out the acidity giving the fruit a lift at the same time. Slightly fuller than the 2017, supple red and blue fruits tip toes through as spices curl around the mouth. There's a little bit of tension that keeps pulling you back. Gorgeously medium bodied, it's a stunner.

Drink to six years.
