I reviewed this Grampians Shiraz nearly three years ago soon after release. It's great to have the chance to revisit it and see where things are at, and I'm pleased to report it is aging beautifully.
The 2016 was Tim Bailey's first release and it's moved from those bright fruit characters to showing some savoury prettiness flanked with some smokiness and char. The fruit is soft and prances with ease as cloves and star anise walk gracefully by it side. Fine pepper tanitlises a long and satisfying finish. There's still an undisputed freshness which shows that there are many years ahead.
