Thomas Wines Elenay Shiraz 2018

What this wine demonstrates best is Andrew Thomas' ability to blend parcels of his top fruit and create a wine of supreme class. Soon to be released, run at this, don't walk.

Affectionately named Elenay, it's derived from L and A which stands for Lips and Arseholes. Fact! Just like a butcher brings bits together to make fabulous sausages, so too is the case here.

A blend of fruit from Kiss (66%), Belford (14%), Cote (12%) and Dam (8%) blocks, the focus is drawing from the newer oak barrels. If you could drink this everyday you'd die happy.

Lusciously medium bodied, the fruit waltzes through with ease. All line and length, pretty scents of red flowers and red currants lead to a mouthful of dainty fruit that just purrs. Soft spices, dried herbs and what seems to be a never ending finish leave you beaming. Brilliant!
